Keonna is a mental health clinician based in Omaha, Nebraska, who holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. Over the past six years, she has worked in a community health center, utilizing an integrative approach to support both the physical and mental wellness of adults living with serious and persistent mental illness. In the past year, she has expanded her work as an in-home family clinician, serving foster youth, adolescents on probation experiencing chronic truancy, and couples navigating a range of safety concerns and relational challenges that impact their mental health. Keonna is passionate about helping families overcome barriers so their children can remain safely in the home. Earlier in her career, she also co-led intensive outpatient services for adolescents struggling with substance use.
Keonna understands that there are seasons in life when internal struggles begin to feel overwhelming—when thoughts become heavy, past experiences replay, and patterns feel difficult to break. These experiences can affect confidence, relationships, and the way individuals engage with the world around them.
She provides a supportive, nonjudgmental counseling environment where clients can safely explore their thoughts and emotions. Keonna works collaboratively with clients to identify the root of their concerns, gain clarity, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. She integrates approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients reframe unhelpful thinking patterns, build on their strengths, and set meaningful, achievable goals.
Her goal is for each client to leave sessions feeling lighter, more confident, and empowered to make intentional choices. Keonna supports individuals in developing healthier coping strategies, improving relationships, and approaching life with greater clarity and self-assurance.
