Janessa is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner who holds a Master’s degree in Counseling. She provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, and has experience supporting clients navigating depression, anxiety, stress, adoption, autism, PTSD, and relationship challenges. Janessa is deeply passionate about helping individuals from all backgrounds reach their goals, overcome barriers, and step into their full potential.
Her approach to therapy is both compassionate and insightful, grounded in the belief that healing is not something to be forced, but something to be remembered. Janessa creates a therapeutic space where curiosity replaces judgment, allowing clients to explore their experiences at a pace that feels safe, authentic, and respectful.
Janessa integrates a variety of evidence-based and creative approaches, including Adlerian therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Reality Therapy. Her work emphasizes building self-confidence, exploring family dynamics and personality patterns, and helping clients develop greater awareness and direction in their lives.
Creative expression is a central part of her work. Janessa incorporates music, art, and expressive techniques to help clients access emotions and experiences that may be difficult to put into words. These modalities support nervous system regulation and allow deeper layers of healing to emerge in a natural and meaningful way.
She is also trained in Brainspotting, a brain-body based approach that supports the processing of trauma, grief, anxiety, and emotional blocks held beneath conscious awareness. By engaging both the mind and body, this method allows for deeper, more intuitive healing experiences.
At the core of Janessa’s work is the therapeutic relationship. She places strong emphasis on creating a safe, attuned connection where clients can explore attachment patterns, boundaries, and relational wounds while experiencing what it feels like to be seen, supported, and understood.
Janessa views therapy as a collaborative and creative process. Rather than seeking to “fix,” she walks alongside her clients as they rediscover their voice, reconnect with themselves, and build more meaningful relationships.
Outside of her work, Janessa enjoys music and often shares meaningful songs with clients as part of the therapeutic process.
