Zak is a mental health professional who holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from Middlesex University, along with advanced training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Chadron State College. He completed his practicum and internship at Turning Point Psychotherapy, where he worked with both adults and children navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns.
Zak takes an inclusive, client-centered approach to therapy, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and awareness-based practices. He is passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves while developing practical tools to support their emotional well-being.
In today’s fast-paced, digitally connected world, Zak recognizes that many individuals still experience a deep sense of isolation and disconnection. These feelings can make it difficult to seek support and can contribute to ongoing mental health challenges.
He focuses on fostering genuine human connection within the therapeutic space by actively listening, empathizing, and creating a safe, supportive environment. Zak encourages clients to explore their emotions openly while building meaningful connections both within and outside of therapy.
His goal is to help clients feel seen, understood, and less alone in their experiences. Through this process, clients are empowered to strengthen their relationships, develop greater self-awareness, and improve their overall mental well-being.
Guided by the belief that change begins within, Zak supports clients in taking intentional steps toward growth and transformation.
